Jermaine W. Frederick, better known to all as “J. J.”, transitioned to eternal life on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at his residence. J.J. was born on September 20, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois, to the proud parents of Elijah Frederick and Alice M. Bell.
J.J. graduated from the Hyde Park Academy High School and attended Kenney King College, both located in Chicago. Upon relocating to Paducah, he became an entrepreneur where he owned and operated J. J.’s Wings and Things, operated a Food Truck and his recent business J. J.’s Detail Auto Shop where he detailed your vehicle like it just came off the showroom at the dealership.
He was a faithful member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah where he diligently served in the Men’s and Usher Ministries.
Everyone knew J. J. as a kindhearted, gentle, and passionate person who loved his family dearly. He obtained a very special relationship with attorney Mark Bryant who became his good friend.
Jermaine was received with open arms by his maternal grandparents, Arlee and Effie Bell, paternal grandparent, Jewel Frederick, four uncles, Revere Bell, Michael Bell, Norman Bell and Darryl Bell, and one aunt, Debra Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his Father, Elijah Frederick; his Mother, Alice M. Bell both Chicago; his brothers, Norman Bell of Chicago, IL, Kacey Griffin and Edward White, both of Paducah; two step-brothers, Joshua Frederick of Memphis, TN and Willie Frederick of Chicago; four nieces, one nephew, several aunts, uncles and a host of nieces , cousins and friends.
J. J. will be lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 12 Noon at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. James L. Hudson officiating.
Family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
