George Allen Hamilton’s life-span of 70 years, 11 months and 10 days came to an end as he looked upon the face of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 17, 2023. He was born in Paducah, KY, on August 7, 1952, to the parentage of the late Thomas James Hamilton and Mattie Meade Hamilton.
George was of the Christian faith and had attended the West Kentucky Vocational School. George was also an operator retiree of the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC).
George, a very quiet individual, loved riding his bicycle about town and exercising in his pastime. He was also a fan of basketball. George was his own person who did things his own way whether the person he was communicating with liked it or not. George “was” George.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas James Hamilton and Mattie Meade Hamilton; two sisters, Ophelia Hamilton Jones and Opal Mae Hamilton; and three brothers, Charles Franklin Hamilton, Frederick “Sonny” Hamilton and Thomas Edward Hamilton.
George leaves One Daughter, Angenette (Timon) Bramley of Paducah, KY; One Son, George A. Hamilton, Jr. of Omaha, NE; Four Grandchildren, James Prather of Paducah, KY, TaShianna Hamilton, Kyah Hamilton and Braylon Hamilton, all of Omaha, NE; One Brother, Gary Hamilton of Paducah, KY; and Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins to cherish his memory for a lifetime.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Monday, July 24, 2023 11:00 a.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Wade officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
