Francis Z. Morris Bransford passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice center in Paducah, Kentucky. At the time of her passing, Francis had acquired 47 years, 6 months, and 8 days of life.
Francis was born August 17, 1977, in Paducah, Kentucky, the daughter of Billy Wayne Griffin and Patricia Morris.
Francis was an active member of Mount Horeb in Metropolis, Illinois, where she served as an usher, coordinator of church events, and the culinary manager. She earned a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts and previously worked as a chef in North Carolina. Additionally, she received certification from West Kentucky Technical College in the areas of kitchen helper, cook helper and caterer.
Francis was a homemaker, a loving wife, and a devoted grandmother, who was also known for her backseat driving skills. Even though she could not drive, she would not hesitate to tell the driver of any vehicle in which she was riding what to do and where to go. She enjoyed all types of music and loved playing bingo, traveling, and scratch offs.
Preceding her in death were her grandfather, Hoover Morris, and her grandmother, Mary Bishop.
Left behind to cherish sweet memories of Francis are her Spouse, Jeffrey V. Bransford; Two Daughters, Jessica Morris and Areon Gilbert; One Son, DeVontae Morris; Eight Grandchildren, Aubree Morris, Amireya Morris, Ayba Morris, Aleena Morris, Kinslee Morris, Alyssa Morris, Malayasia Morris, and DeVontae Morris, Jr., all of Paducah, Kentucky; her Father, Billy Wayne Griffin of LaCenter, Kentucky; her Mother Patricia Morris; Four Sisters, Christie Morris (Jaron Hayslett), Demetrius Morris, Cehara Griffin and Sheila Harper (David Manley), all of Paducah, Kentucky; One Brother, Ariston Lee Griffin of LaCenter, Kentucky; and Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Horeb Church in Metropolis, IL with Reverend Gregory Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
