Alice Faye Cole Lovelace, daughter of the late James L. Cole and the late Alice Taylor Cole Johnson, was born on August 9, 1948, and passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. At the time of her passing, she had acquired 76 years, 5 months, and 15 days of life.
Alice was a 1966 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Paducah Community College. She retired from Bell South after thirty-two years of service as a sales representative.
Alice was a family-oriented person who helped raise not only her children but also her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She loved to cook and set aside Tuesdays and Thursdays as her special “cooking” days. She was a huge fan of the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. Her recreational activities included going to the Senior Center in Hendersonville where she enjoyed playing Mexican Train Dominos, the paint classes and the potlucks. She was also a faithful fan of the soap opera Days of Our Lives. When she wasn’t cooking, at the senior center or watching her favorite television program, she could be found at her other love - the casino, especially Harrah’s Casino where she was a (VIP).
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ernest T. Dickerson, John Dickerson and Thomas Dickerson; one sister, Laura Pullen Frazier; and her grandson, Dejuan Lovelace.
Left behind to treasure precious memories are Two Daughters, Victoria Seriki of LaVergne, Tennessee, Cynthia Lovelace (Dwayne Wilcox) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; One Son, Clovis Lynn (Sara) Lovelace of Fairfield, Ohio; Seven Grandchildren, Kevin (Maegan) Lovelace, Jasmine Lovelace, (Devon Berkness, Sr.) Khadijah Seriki, Khalyiah Seriki, Aubriana Lovelace, Braydynn Lovelace of and Maliya Lovelace; One Great Grandchild, Devon Berkness, Jr. One Sister, Pearl Carter, One Goddaughter, Monica (Boyce) Chandler both of Paducah, Kentucky; Two God-grandchildren, Bianca Chandler, Alexis Chandler and Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. James L. Hudson and Reverend Dr. Calvin R. Cole Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
