Abadean Jackson, born on August 18, 1952, in East Prairie, Missouri, was the daughter of the late Charlie Allen and Corine Lacy Allen. At the age of 72, she transitioned to eternal life on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 3:17 p.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.
She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Abadean retired from Lourdes Hospital, where she served as a Culinary Specialist. She had a passion for shopping and enjoyed fishing, dining, and cooking, particularly using her old kettle pot. Her family was of utmost importance to her, and she cherished long walks, bus rides, and playfully teasing her brothers. She had a fondness for preparing rabbit and coon dishes and adored her grandchildren.
Abadean is survived by Her Two Sons, Robert Allen and Dwight (Shayla Belton) Allen, both residing in Paducah, Kentucky; Six Grandchildren, Tyondray McGaughty and Deonte McGaughy from Mississippi, Lucas Burns from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Keagan Allen from Springfield, Missouri, Maya Berry from Paducah, Kentucky, and Josiah Allen from Alabama; One Great-Granddaughter; Three Brothers, James (Doris) Allen from Marion, Illinois, MacArthur Allen from Washington, D.C., and Ray Allen from Paducah, Kentucky; One Sister, Leana (Rick) Brooks from Murfreesboro, Tennessee; along with Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Jackson; four brothers, Jack Allen, Charles Allen, Elizah Allen, and Curtis Bond; three sisters, Lenora Jarmon, Savanna Simmons, and Gloria Allen.
Abadean Jackson will be lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2025, 12 noon at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Donna G. Hawkins and Reverend Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
