Shannon Johnson

LaCenter, KY Shannon Johnson I, age 52, passed away at his home in LaCenter, KY on Saturday, November 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Paducah, KY on February 1, 1973, to his parents, Ray Howell and Cathy (Johnson) Roulanaitis.

Shannon was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wickliffe. He was a member and past master of North Ballard Masonic Lodge #537. Shannon was employed for many years at the Timberlands at Westvaco. He was a very community minded man which included, coaching baseball for his son's teams, cub scout leader for troop #2066, safety officer for Wickliffe Volunteer Fire Department and assistant chief of Ballard County Rescue Squad for many years. Shannon enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and football. His pride and joy was his family. Shannon faced his final days with courage, peace and confidence that can only come from knowing where he was going.  His only regret in life was waiting so long to fully give his heart to God.  It's never too late to surrender, find peace and come home to the father.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sheila Williams Johnson of LaCenter, KY; five sons, Shannon Johnson II (Michaela) of Bardwell, KY, Samuel Johnson (Courtney) of Wickliffe, KY, Nathaniel Johnson (Iza) of Wickliffe, KY, Colton Johnson of LaCenter, KY, Gunner Johnson of LaCenter, KY; two daughters, Kourtney Rambo (Jacob) of Barlow, KY and Shannon's Baby girl Nora Johnson of LaCenter, KY; two brothers, Jeramie Howell (Stephanie) of Belton, MO and Billy Howell (Kaylee) of O'Fallon, MO; a sister, Stacy McIntosh of South Fulton, KY; eight grandchildren, Brooklyn Johnson, Noah Rambo, Waylon Rambo, Abigail Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Matthew Rambo, Aubre Rambo and Maylee Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Masonic Rites at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with Rev. Billie Prince officiating.  

Interment will follow at LaCenter Cemetery in LaCenter, KY.
