Mark Leaton Griffin was born on November 8, 1971, in Vung Tau, Vietnam. He passed away on October 20, 2024, at his home in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a cherished husband, father, son, brother and uncle, who left a legacy of adventure and unwavering commitment to his loved ones and to his profession.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. His academic achievements paved the way for a successful career.
Mark's professional life was marked by his dedication and remarkable acumen. A respected partner at PwC within the Health Transformation Practice, he also brought his talents to bear at companies such as Accenture, IBM and Cummins. His colleagues knew him as not just a leader but as a mentor and friend, someone who was always ready to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.
Beyond his professional life, Mark was known for his love of adventure and the outdoors. An avid cyclist, he relished the opportunity to explore new trails and roads. His passion for adventure extended to his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which he rode with equal enthusiasm, embracing the sense of liberty and camaraderie found within the biking community.
International travel was another of Mark's interests, as he sought to experience diverse cultures and create memories with his family and friends. These trips were not just journeys; they were chapters in his ever-expanding book of life, filled with stories that he eagerly shared with others.
Family and friends were the cornerstone of Mark's life. He was the consummate host, opening his home for gatherings alongside his wife, Tracey. Their house was a hub of warmth and laughter, where memories were made, and relationships were strengthened.
Sporting events were a source of excitement for Mark, who was a dedicated fan of University of Kentucky basketball. Watching the games was more than a pastime; it was a ritual that connected him to a community of fellow enthusiasts and sparked lively discussions.
A member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, Mark will be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest.
As we bid farewell and Mark is laid to rest in his hometown of La Center, Kentucky, we celebrate a life rich in experiences. His spirit will continue to inspire us, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his wife, Tracey Griffin; his children, Jasmine and Alexander Griffin; his mother, Ket Thi Griffin; his sister, Enetria Griffin; and his niece and nephew, Kayto Buchanon and Kanye Wade. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Griffin. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and extended family members who will miss his presence dearly.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.
