Frieda Wagner

Frieda H. O’Dell Wagner, age 84, of Barlow, Kentucky, passed away at 7:38 am on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Frieda was born on June 21, 1941, to the late John and Ruby O’Dell. She was a devoted member of her church, the LaCenter First Christian Church, in LaCenter, KY. Frieda loved her church and enjoyed helping with service preparations, bible school and wherever else she was needed. She was a magnificent quilter, enjoyed reading daily and puzzles. She retired from being a private sitter for many families in the Ballard County area. In which she was spoken highly of , her devotion to her patients stemmed not only from her character, but from the deep compassion in her heart. She was very proud of and loved her family wholeheartedly & always enjoyed having her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren around for visits.

Survivors include two sons, David (Stephanie) Goin of Salem, KY and Darryl Jay Bomar of Paducah, KY; two daughters, Dawn Bergeron of Barlow, KY and Buffy (Jacque) Jones of Wickliffe, KY. Her sisters Patricia Beck and Mary Stafford of Lilbourn, MO. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews which she loved dearly.

Preceding in death were her husband, Walter “Butch” Wagner; two sons, William Thomas Bomar III and Walter John Wagner; one grandson Austin Wagner, one great grandchild Olivia Wagner-Mattingly. Her two brothers, John O’Dell, David O’Dell and her parents.

Family has chosen a private service and no burial.
