Willodean Bell Berkley passed away at her home on July 23, 2025, at the age of 74.

After years of dutiful service as an operator at ISP Chemicals Lab, Willodean retired but hardly slowed down. She was a committed member of the Twelve Oaks Baptist Church, where her faith and compassion shone through her many contributions. Demonstrating a great deal of initiative and leadership, she was instrumental in developing a boxing for soldiers ministry at Ballard County Middle School. This remarkable program allowed her to extend a touch of home and support to veterans actively serving the country, showcasing her patriotism and generous heart.

Affectionately known as the "Mayor of Buck Lane," Willodean could often be spotted in her beloved golf cart, greeting friends and bringing joy to all she encountered. Her presence was always known, whether through her unfiltered charm, her resounding laugh, or her ability to economize to make the impossible, possible.

Animals were among the many recipients of Willodean's boundless love. She was the epitome of a homebody who derived great pleasure from her own surroundings and the simple joys of life. Her meticulous and organized nature ensured that every aspect of her home was a reflection of her pride and her desire to provide for her family.

Above all, Willodean cherished her role as Rory's GiGi — a title that outshone all her accolades. Her profound love for her grandchild was evident in every proud story, every shared moment, every sacrifice made to ensure that Rory's life was full of joy.

Willodean is survived by her daughter, Kristen Summers (Philip) of Benton and her grandson, Rory Summers.  She was a beloved "DeanDean" to Cohen, Emily and Bella Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Roy Bell and Juanita Lyles Bell.
