Willis H. Rothchild Jr.

Willis H. Rothchild Jr., born on July 21, 1941, in Cairo, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, in Wickliffe, Kentucky. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; he loved being outdoors and enjoying nature. Willis was also a skilled woodworker and was of the Christian faith.

Willis enjoyed camping with his late wife, Carol, and bargain hunting, where he found joy in uncovering hidden treasures. Above all, Willis adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time with them brought happiness to his life.

Willis's legacy of kindness, his love for family adventures, and the simplicity of a life well-lived will be remembered and treasured by all who knew him.
 
He is survived by two daughters, Michele (Chris) Redfern of Wickliffe and Monica Burnett of Boaz, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Logan (Amanda) Redfern, Chelcie (Blake) Barnett, Madisen (Nathan) Webb; six great grandchildren, Conner, Rylan, Jaxon, Charlie, Layne, Kate; a sister, Deanna Charlet of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Russell Rothchild of Phoenix, Arizona, and Robert Rothchild of Denver, Colorado.
 
Willis was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Rothchild; grandson, Brandon Burnett; two sisters, Donna Thomas and Marcina Milligan; three brothers, Baron Rothchild, Daryl Rothchild, and Tom “Roc” Rothchild.
 
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Wickliffe with Rev. Glen Crowe officiating.
 
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Wickliffe.
