WH “Dub” Wilson, age 103, of Calvert City and formerly of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Dub was born on May 7, 1921 to Bun Wilson and Katie Venable Wilson. He was a graduate of Puryear High School in Puryear, Tennessee. Dub was the oldest member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Dub was the owner for many years of Wilson Camper Sales in Paducah. Dub was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II where he received three Bronze Awards.
Dub’s hobbies included fishing, gardening, and being on the riding lawn mower. He was still mowing at 100 years of age and had a special way of mowing his yard.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra (John) Rudolph, Eddyville, KY, Debbie (Stewart) Scott, Calvert City, KY and Cyndi (Tommy) Morreau, Paducah, KY; eight grandchildren, KC (Shay) Alleruzzo, Teresa (Craig) Palmer, Trey Rudolph (Marci); Kevin (Nancy) Scott, Neal (Amy) Scott; Chad (Callie) Morreau, Ryan (Sarah) Morreau and Whitney (Mabz) Zulu; sixteen great-grandchildren, Audrey, Grace and Hunter Alleruzzo; Brody, Addison Palmer, J.T. and Sadie Rudolph; Macy, Trip, Kendall Mclean Scott; Emery, Wilson, Annie and Owen Morreau, Zeke, Eli Zulu; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was his wife, Velma Lax Wilson, his parents; four sisters, Edna Earl Wilson, Lela Atkins, Doris Marie Paschall and Margie McCree; four brothers, Noble Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Carl Wilson and Billy Bun Wilson.
Services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Morreau and Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
