Virginia Louise Blythe, 88, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 8:41 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Providence Pointe surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 17, 1936 in South Fulton, Tennessee.
 
Virginia worked as a Personal Caregiver. She was a faithful member of Palestine United Methodist Church.
 
Virginia enjoyed attending church and church activities. She loved dancing and traveled to several different dances on a weekly basis. She also enjoyed shopping and collecting different items, especially anything apples and angels and at one time had over 200 angels in her collection. Virginia loved being around people and visiting with friends and family either in person or over the telephone.  She enjoyed religious and country music with Blake Shelton being one of her favorite country music artists. 
 
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Sheila Mansfield and husband, Jack of Kevil, KY; granddaughters, Selina Heider and husband, Andy and Britney Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Heider and Jackson Heider; sister, Lucille Phifer and husband, Gene of Greenfield, TN; brothers, Jimmie Collins and Dale Collins of Greenfield, TN and Charles Collins and wife, Martha of West Paducah, KY; sister-in-law, Charlene Collins of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Edward Potts, second husband, Archie Blythe; two sons, Terry Wayne Potts and James Edward Potts; brother, Bert Collins and her parents Bert Collins and Arlene Edwards Collins.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Brian Nance and Rev. Jonathan Althoff officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery.
 
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
