Virginia "Ginny" Young, 99 of Paducah passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at her residence in Paducah. She was born on October 2, 1925, in Salem, Missouri, to the late Dorman Benjamin and Barbara Addison Embeck Ball. Ginny's life was marked by her unwavering faith, her dedication to community service, and her love for the beauty of nature.

Ginny was a member of Grace Episcopal Church since 1952, where she devoted countless hours to ensuring the sanctuary was a place of beauty and reverence. Her passion for gardening and her community spirit found a perfect blend in her involvement with the Paducah Garden Club and the Four Seasons Garden Club. Ginny's green thumb and keen eye for design brought joy to many through the various community beautification projects she led and participated in.

Moreover, Ginny's leadership skills and generous heart shone brightly during her tenure as the past president of the Charity League. Her efforts and initiatives through the league significantly contributed to the well-being of those in need within the Paducah community. Her legacy is one of service, leadership, and nurturing faith and nature. Her contributions to her church and community will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. Ginny's life was a testament to the impact one individual can have on the lives of many.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Young Pfanstiel of Atlanta GA, and Barbara Addison Young of Front Royal, VA; her son, Tolliver (Melinda) Young of Orlando, FL; her six grandchildren, Zachary Dent Pfanstiel, Clayton Addison Pfanstiel, Nicole (John) Winter, Ben (Lee) Young, Gabriela D’Urso and William E D’Urso; her four great-grandchildren, Tolliver Young, Sibley Winter. Jack Winter and Claiborne Winter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J William (Bill) Young; a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Dorman Addison and Eleanor Ball along with a sister and brother-in-law, Marian Clark and Dave Peterson.
