Valerie Kirk Fleming, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on February 7, 1941, in Livingston County, Kentucky, Valerie led a life characterized by a love of learning and community spirit. A proud 1958 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, she furthered her education with an Associate's Degree from Paducah Junior College.
Valerie's commitment to her community was evident through her dedicated membership at the First Presbyterian Church and her lively participation in the "Red Hat Society." As an avid bowler, she participated in the WIBC (Women’s International Bowling Congress) and multiple women’s and mixed bowling leagues in Paducah.
In her golden years, Valerie embraced the joy of travel, exploring the beauty and diversity of 47 states. Her zest for life and the warmth of her presence will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Fleming is survived by her sons, Gary Fleming (Pam) of Normal, Illinois, and Jeff Fleming (Dawn) of Paducah; her grandchildren, Sarah Watson (Danny) and Kody Keeling; her great grandchildren, Waylon Watson, Chase Watson, Korra Keeling, and Brooklyn Keeling.
Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, David Wayne Fleming; her parents, Wynyard Kirk and Naomi Belt Kirk; her brother, Terry W Kirk.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Alexis Allum officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
