Traci Lynn Thorne Bruce, age 54, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on April 2, 2026. She was born on August 27, 1971, in Paducah, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by warmth, devotion, and an unwavering love for the people around her.
Traci was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and coworker. She carried herself with a kindness that could be felt the moment she entered a room, and she had a magnetic personality that drew people to her naturally. She was someone everyone wanted to be around, not only because of her bright spirit, but because she made others feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her smile was constant, her heart was generous, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to know her.
She was selfless in every sense of the word and known as a giver who cared for everyone right up to the end. Traci lived her life with love at the center of everything she did. She was a pillar of her family and a mother figure to everyone she came in contact with. Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her immediate family, and she had a remarkable way of making people feel like they belonged. Her love was steady, her kindness was genuine, and her loyalty never wavered.
Traci was employed as a receptionist at Charter Senior Living of Paducah, where she brought the same compassion and grace that defined her life. She was a valued coworker who treated others with respect and care, and she made a lasting impression on those she worked alongside. She not only loved her coworkers but also deeply loved and cherished the residents and their families, forming meaningful connections with each of them. Her professionalism was matched by her personal warmth, and she was admired not only for the work she did, but for the way she did it.
Outside of work, Traci found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved being outside and enjoying nature, especially the beach, palm trees, and peacocks. She also had a meticulous eye for detail and was, as many lovingly said, OCD to a fault. Her home was always beautifully decorated for each season and holiday, down to the plates, pillows, hand towels, and even the mailbox. Her attention to detail reflected the pride she took in creating a warm and inviting environment for those she loved.
Traci will be remembered for her beautiful heart, her strong spirit, and the deep love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and family-centered love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a gift, and her memory will be cherished always.
Traci is survived by her husband of 25 years, Wayne Bruce; two sons, Clayton A. Tracy of Nashville, Tennessee, and Dylan N. Tracy (Tabetha) of Paducah; her mother, Betty Thorne; one sister, Teri Frommeyer (Darrin) of Paducah; niece, Bailey Frommeyer; nephew, Preston Frommeyer, along with other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Thorne, and her Mamaw and Papaw, Allen and Dessie Samsil.
