Thomas P. Nolan, 86 of Paducah (formerly of Beardstown, Illinois) passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his residence in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born on January 18, 1938, in Timewell, Illinois, to Charles Robert and Eulalia Agnus Fitzsimons Nolan.

Thomas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves for three years. After his service, he embarked on a career with the Central Illinois Public Service, where he served a 30-year tenure as a store supervisor. In his golden years, Thomas discovered a passion for golf, a sport that challenged him and brought him closer to friends and the serene beauty of nature. His love for the game was only matched by his enjoyment of transporting cars for local auto dealerships, a pursuit that kept him active and engaged within the community. Thomas was known for being a “great” guy and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy Law Nolan of Paducah; three children, Barbara (Tim) Campbell of Salem, KY, David (Bruce Hoover) Nolan of Maryville, IL, and Rebecca (Andrew) Christenson of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren, Sarah (Luke) Higgason of Edinburg, IL, Kristopher Blake Collins of Arkansas, Zachary Matthew Collins of Oklahoma City, OK, Lauryn Brooke Christenson of Arkansas and Dakota Christenson of Arkansas; two sisters, Marilyn Wort of Quincy, IL and Agnus (Richard) Redmond of Quincy, IL along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Koch and Margarite Schneider along with one brother, Robert Nolan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah is in charge of local arrangements. Share a memory or leave a message for the family at www.milnerandorr.com.
