Thomas Edwin Gifford, 91, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Tom was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service and served as the Carlisle County Senior Citizens Director for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn Sue Gifford; a daughter, Susanne Gifford of Bardwell; a son, Thomas (Kim) Gifford Jr., of San Antonio, Texas; a granddaughter, Melissa Burton of San Antonio, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Sofia and Olivia; a sister-in-law, Sandra Gifford of Bardwell; a niece, Sindy (Barry) Oliver of Cunningham; a nephew, Bobby (Kathy) Gifford of Clinton; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Pauline Gifford; a brother, Bob Gifford; and two nephews, Kim “Bo” and John Gifford.
A Graveside service with military honors will be on October 7th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mounds City National Cemetery, Mounds City, Illinois.
