Thelma L. Sills

Thelma L. Sills, age 88, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 7:20 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at her home.  

Thelma was born on August 9, 1936, in Paducah, to the late James Ollie Johnson and Lucy Beatrice Hopkins Johnson.  She attended Southland Baptist Church.  She was manager of a night club in Florida for many years.  Thelma enjoyed watching TV and the birds she fed outside.  Thelma loved her dog “Lucy”  that was a great companion to her.

Survivors  include one daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Watson, West Paducah, KY; one grandson, Steven (Melissa) Cook; 3 great grand-children, Tyler Gale, Destiny Cook and Serenity Cook.

Preceding in death was husband, William Glen Sills, parents, James Ollie Johnson and Lucy Beatrice Hopkins Johnson; one son, Gerald Sills; one sister, Betty Ann Lee and one brother, Gene Johnson.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Franks officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
