Terry L. Bowman,70, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Born on May 2, 1955, in Iuka, Mississippi, to the late Harold Dean and Nadine Enlow Bowman. Terry grew to be a man deeply anchored in the love of the great outdoors and the joy of family. Terry was an avid hunter who reveled in the beauty and calm of nature. Terry’s friends were like his own family. Living on the lake, he cultivated a life that many dream of but few achieve. His days were punctuated with laughter-filled fishing trips, quiet mornings watching the sunrise over the water, and countless moments creating precious memories with his beloved grandchildren. To many kids, Terry taught the delicate art of appreciating and respecting the great outdoors.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce Spence Bowman of Benton, Kentucky; a daughter, Cynthia (Ronnie) Bowman-Stroud of Paducah, Kentucky; a son, John Garnett of Benton, Kentucky; four grandsons, Tyler Snow, John T (Gabrielle) Garnett, Brayden Stroud, and Taylor Stroud; a brother, Harry Bowman of Iuka, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Myra Hale, and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
