Terry B. Powell

Terry B. Powell, 75, of Kevil, Kentucky, passed away on September 6, 2025, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born on October 19, 1949, in Paducah, to the late Lawrence Collins and Mary Hawes Powell. Terry was known for working his entire life. His commitment was exemplified through his long-standing service with Iron Workers Local 782 for 25 years and the United Steel Workers for 16 years. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 449 since the early 70’s. He contributed many years of hard work at the United States Enrichment Corporation, touching the lives of those he worked with through his diligence and camaraderie. Terry worshiped at Lone Oak First Baptist Church for over 15 years, nurturing his faith and forming strong bonds with his Lord and Savior. Beyond his work and faith, Terry found contentment in the simple pleasures of life. Terry was a selfless and dedicated family man when it came to his loved ones. He was an ardent NASCAR fan, and his love for fishing turned many peaceful afternoons into treasured memories for his grandchildren. Terry was always seen on his mower taking care of his luxurious yard and working in his vegetable garden that he loved.
 
Terry is survived by a daughter, Joy Powell of Kevil, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jessica Worley and Jakob (Lexi) Worley, both of Kevil, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Paxton Glenn, Greyson Parker, and Evrhett Lee; two sisters, Mary Alice Brown of Paducah and Shirley Orr of Melber, Kentucky; three brothers, Larry Powell, Bill Powell, and John Powell, all of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte Ann Bristow Powell; two sisters, Dorothy Cathey and Martha Turner; two brothers, James Powell and Jack Powell; and his parents.
 
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
