Sheila Cruse, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Paducah, Kentucky. Born on January 21, 1968, in Michigan, Sheila lived a life characterized by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

Throughout her life, Sheila was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. As a devoted child care giver, she touched the lives of many families with her nurturing and thoughtful care. Her role extended beyond professional boundaries, leaving a lasting impact on those she served. Sheila's dedication was reflected in all her endeavors, including her involvement with the New Life Apostolic Tabernacle where she was an active member.

Sheila held an infectious enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures. She found joy in the tranquility of the lake, the thrill of racing, and the comfort of camping under the stars. It wasn't unusual to find Sheila surrounded by friends and family during these adventures, as she always sought to include others in her passion for the great outdoors.

Family was at the heart of Sheila's world. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and care in her children: Micheal (Brandon) Cruse of Calvert City, Kentucky, Aubrey Anderson of Destin, Florida, Alexia Peterson of Paducah, Kentucky, Michael Cruse of Barlow, Kentucky, Matthew (Chris) Cruse of Paducah, Kentucky, and Austin Anderson of Louisville, Kentucky. Sheila's spirit will continue to shine in the lives of her cherished grandchildren, Landon Hines, Laila Hines, and Salina Billings.

Sheila was a sister to Beth Davis of Leitchfield, Kentucky, and shared a deep bond with her father, Leo April of Traverse City, Michigan. Her brothers, Jason Anderson of Franklin, Indiana, David Anderson of Paducah, Kentucky, David April and John April both of Traverse City, Michigan, and Gladwin Anderson, Sheldon Anderson, Gilbert Anderson, and Kenneth Anderson of Michigan, will remember Sheila for her love, laughter, and the special moments they shared. Her numerous nieces and nephews were also a source of great joy and pride for Sheila. Her close-knit circle included special friends, Sandy Jones and Angela Harper, who will deeply miss her companionship and unwavering support.

Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Peterson Jackson, and her sisters, Heather April and Hulda Anderson.

Those who knew Sheila will fondly remember her as a loving, kind, and thoughtful individual who went out of her way to make everyone feel at home. Whether it was offering a place to stay or simply lending an ear, Sheila had a remarkable ability to understand and nurture those in need. Her legacy is one of selfless love and the remarkable impact she made on everyone's life path she crossed.

Friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by Sheila are invited to share in a celebration of her remarkable life, recalling the countless happy memories and the profound comfort she brought to so many.

Sheila Cruse's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her loving spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be fondly remembered and dearly miss.
