Sara Jane Lowry Page, 95, of Paducah, Kentucky, was born on June 27, 1930, to the late Charles Homer Lowry and Georgia Lee Chittenden Lowry. She passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, her mother’s birthday. Sara was a homemaker who always provided a loving and beautiful home for her family.

Professionally, Sara worked in law and CPA offices, also as a travel agent at Travel, Inc., and a proofreader for the Paducah Sun-Democrat. She was a graduate of Heath High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Murray State University. In 1980, Sara was appointed by Governor John Y. Brown, Jr. to the Murray State University Board of Regents and in 1983 to the Kentucky Council on Higher Education, later appointed by Governor Brereton Jones to the Kentucky Higher Education Nominating Committee.

Sara was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of First Christian Church, where she began serving as the church organist at age 12 when it was discovered that she had perfect pitch. She was a member of the Paducah Charity League, serving as the pianist for the Charity League Follies for many years. She always enjoyed attending musical performances with her husband, Jerry. They were proud supporters of the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center since its beginning. She also served on the board of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, volunteered at her church, and supported the Paducah Cooperative Ministry, the Paducah Community Kitchen, and the McCracken County Humane Society.

 She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lane Page; daughter, Janet Page Lile of Frankfort, Kentucky; two sons, Robert “Bob” Page of Sun City Center, Florida, and David Page of Paducah, Kentucky; brother, Charles H. Lowry, Jr. of Santa Ana, California; four grandchildren, Lowry (Patti) Page, Sara Floyd, Elle (Pete) Travis and Carly (Bryan) Baker; 8 great-grandchildren, Quinn Page, Emma Page, Madison Floyd, William Floyd, Rhys Travis, Lane Travis, and twins-Charlotte and Sophie Baker; niece, Diane (Dirk) Duhlstine,  and two nephews Allen (Carol) Lowry and Wayne (Peggy) Lowry.

Sara was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn “Mimi” Lowry, and her parents.

In honor of Sara’s request, there are no services or visitation at this time. Donations in her honor may be directed to the organizations mentioned above or to a charity of your choice.
