Ross Edward Smith, 37, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on September 9, 2024. He was born on September 12, 1986, in Paducah to Sonny and Lynne Cruse Smith.
A graduate of Heath High School, Ross furthered his education at West Kentucky Community & Technical College, where he earned a diploma in Welding Technology. He was employed at the Henry A. Petter Supply Company. Ross was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Ross was a man of simple pleasures. He had a passion for watching movies, however, the true highlight of his life was his role as a father. Ross's children were the center of his universe, and his greatest love was spending time with them, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his parents Sonny and Lynne Smith of Paducah; his two children, Eliza O’Lene Smith and Landon Steven Smith of Paducah and a brother, Quent Stephen Smith of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by a son, Leon Edward Smith; his grandparents, Stephen E. and Oletha Smith and William Edward and Martha Ann Cruse.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until the funeral hour on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
