Rose May, age 92, of Lone, Oak, Kentucky passed away at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Rose was born on May 10, 1932, to Leslie “LB” Vaughn and Viola Kathleen Wilkerson Vaughn. She was a long-time member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Rose was a 1950 graduate of Lone Oak High School. Rose enjoyed watching game shows and University of Kentucky basketball. Rose loved sewing, entertaining grandchildren, and supporting her three sons and their families.
Survivors include three sons, Vaughn Paul May, Paducah Kentucky, Russell “Rusty” May, and wife, Dianne, of North Augusta, South Carolina; Christopher “Chris” Claude May and wife, Mary, of Metropolis, Illinois; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and several cousins.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Paul May; her parents, L.B. & Viola Vaughn and a daughter-in-law, Debbie May.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Lone Oak with Rev. Bob Martin and Rev. Chris May officiating.
Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
