Roger Wayne Moore, 67 of Paducah, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 27, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on October 6, 1957, in Paducah, KY, to the late Neilon H. and Lillie M. Cothran Moore.
Roger attended Paducah Tilghman High School, WKCTC, and Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in Recording Industry Management (RIM). His passions and hobbies were songwriting and playing music. He was able to share his material at the Bluebird Café and Douglas Corner, among other Nashville music venues.
Roger was employed by the state highway departments from Kentucky to Texas. He followed his music heart to Nashville, where he worked general maintenance for a carrier to eventually start his own heating and air company.
Roger was a member of Haywood Hills Baptist Church in Nashville. He was actively involved in the Praise Band, the audio/video team, helping in Sunday School, and community functions such as pancake breakfasts.
Roger leaves behind those who cherish his sweet memories, his wife of 46 years, Susan Fields Moore of Paducah; his two sons, Aaron Moore and Austin Moore, both of Paducah, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tyler James Moore, and his grandparents, Lester and Bertha Moore.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. A private burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
