Robert Joseph Guhy

Robert Joseph Guhy, 82, of Milburn, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his residence.
 
Bobby Joe was born on January 13,1939 in Milburn and was a member of Milburn Baptist Church.  For 55 years, he was a member of the Operating Engineer’s Local 181.  He also worked as a farmer where he did row cropping and raised cattle.  On top of his other professions, Bobby Joe always loved to be running his own businesses.  He owned many local companies in the Milburn area including the neighborhood grocery store and hardware store, gas station, and most recently, he owned and operated mini storage units.  In his spare time, Bobby Joe loved wood working, going to his grandchildren’s ball games, hunting and fishing, and square dancing.  For over 30 years he and his wife would travel to square dancing festivals all over the country.  
 
Bobby is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nora Belle Halsell Guhy of Milburn; one daughter, Cindy Hoskins (Kevin) of Cunningham; one son, Donald Guhy (Cristie) of Milburn; four grandchildren, Ember Wright (Jesse) of Cunningham, Timothy Kyle Guhy of Milburn, Hunter Hoskins (Ashley) and Whitney Moran (Brock), both of Cunningham; two step grandchildren, Kevin Swartz (Mary) and April Griggs, both of Murray; twelve great-grandchildren, Maddison Wright, Cooper Wright, Arabella Hoskins, Briley Moran, Colin Hoskins, Brody Moran, Bennett Moran, Alex Griggs, Kim Griggs, Piper Griggs, Skylar Swartz, Mya Swartz; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Boy and Dumpy Love Brann Guhy; one son, Ronald Guhy; one sister, Amelia Hogancamp Neville; and one brother, Wilbur Guhy.
 
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. Glen Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow at the Milburn Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
