Robert “Bob” Mueller

Robert “Bob” Mueller passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Paducah, Kentucky.   Bob was born on August 30, 1931, to his parents, Sam and Mayda Shaffer Mueller, in Paducah, Kentucky.
 
He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a heavy equipment mechanic during the Korean Conflict.  Bob’s career included being a towboat pilot and chief engineer on the Gulf Inlander, as a machinist for the Illinois Central Railroad, traveling with Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company, and he retired from VMV Enterprises in Marine Sales.
 
Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Shirley Lane Mueller, his daughter Robin (Michael) Brewer of  Paducah, and a granddaughter, Anna Rae Brewer,  one brother, George (Linda) Mueller all of Paducah, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
 
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, L. Samuel Mueller.
 
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Waldrop officiating.  Urn burial will follow at the Houser Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
