Robert Lee Milner, 85, of Cunningham, Kentucky, passed away at home on the morning of Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1939, to Grafton Goulder and Effie Lee Milner. He married Carolyn Wray on December 28, 1962, and they welcomed their son, Kirk Milner, on December 24, 1963.
Bob proudly served three years in the US Army. After ranking Sergeant, he was a part of the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas, where they successfully carried out Operation Big Lift in Germany. After being discharged, he and his family relocated to Indiana, where he was employed by the Inland Steel Mill. In 1970, they moved to Carlisle County, and Bob eventually retired from the Westvaco Paper Mill. He was an active member of the Cunningham Fire Department for 34 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years; his son, Kirk Milner; two grandchildren, Morgan and Travis Milner; his great-granddaughter, Iris Milner; nephews, Greg Teasley, Gary Teasley, and David Garrett; and niece, Anita Garrett.
He was preceded in death by sisters Juliette Garrett and Dorthy Teasley.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Cunningham Memorial Garden.
Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell will be in charge of the arrangements.
There will be no public visitation.
