Robert B Posey

Robert B (Bob) Posey, age 88 of Lone Oak, Kentucky passed peacefully with his children by his side at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025. He is now with his beautiful wife, Lois in heaven. Bob and Lois were married for sixty-one years and lived in several different states during their marriage.

Bob was a long time member of the Lone Oak United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Germany and France.

During his career as an Instrument Technician, Bob worked from one end of the country to the other end. But his most important job was as caregiver for his beloved wife, Lois.

Bob is survived by one daughter, Renee Witherspoon (David), and one son, Scott Posey (Ashley), seven grandchildren, Ashley Peeples (Steven), Leah Asaro, Jenna Hall, Robert J Posey Jr. (Brittany), Mason Posey, Brooke Posey and Gavin Posey; four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Posey was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Schroeder Posey; one son, Robert J Posey Sr; parents, Robert and Phyllis Posey; one sister, Dorothy Boswell.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Boone officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until service time of 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
