Ricky Ray Tyler, a cherished member of the community known for his unwavering faith and commitment to his family and friends, passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 65. He was born on October 23, 1959, in Mayfield, Kentucky, to Kenneth Tyler and the late Betty Tyler.

 

A proud Mason, Ricky dedicated much of his time to the Masonic community. He was a member of the Bardwell Masonic Lodge 499 and served as the Masonic District Deputy of the 1st region of Kentucky, and was recognized as a 32nd-degree Mason. His work within the Masons was not just a duty, but a calling, where he embodied the virtues of brotherhood, charity, and truth. His contributions and guidance will be missed within the Masonic halls he so frequently visited.

 

Fishing, hunting, and golfing were among Ricky's cherished pastimes. He also had a deep love for softball, having played for Paducah Community College and maintaining his passion for the game throughout his life by playing in community leagues. Beyond his hobbies and roles, Ricky was a man of devout faith, loving the Lord with all his heart. He was a longtime member of Baltimore Baptist Church.

 

Ricky's heartwarming smile and endearing personality made him a friend to many. He will be missed dearly by all, especially his beloved children and his loyal dog, Bluey.

 

Ricky is survived by his wife, Ashley Tyler, of Wingo, Kentucky; his father, Kenneth Tyler, of Arlington, Kentucky; one daughter, Brookelyn Tyler, of Wingo, Kentucky; two sons, Matthew (Amber) Tyler, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Lane Sanderson, of Wingo, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Avery Tyler and Brennan (Brooke) Ray; one great-grandson, Weston Ray.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Tyler.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Tyler will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington, with Bro. Robbie Courtney is officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington City Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Bardwell Masonic Lodge 499. Masonic Rites will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
