Ricky Dale Lindsey

Ricky Dale Lindsey, 69, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Ledbetter, Kentucky. Born on July 6, 1955, Ricky embraced life with vigor and cherished every moment. He was of the Pentecostal Faith, and spent his career as a proud owner of Lindsey's Roofing, leaving a legacy of dedication and craftsmanship.

Ricky's zest for life was evident to all who knew him. Whether he was high atop a roof or trying his luck at Kentucky Lottery scratch -offs and the casino, he did it with a heart full of joy. Dancing was among his favorite ways to celebrate the good times, moving with a rhythm that matched his enthusiastic spirit. But more than anything, Ricky's world revolved around his beloved Wife, family and lifelong friends. The time spent with them was his greatest treasure, marking the moments that made his life truly rich. Remembered for his boundless energy and the love he shared, Ricky's memory will live on as a beacon of how to embrace life fully.
 
Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Velda Kay Blasingain Lindsey; three daughters, Melissa (Eric) Youngblood of Alabama, Amy (James) DeJarnette of Ledbetter, and Dara (Jason) Wheatley of Colorado; a son, Wade Norville of Ledbetter; ten grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Eric, Erica, Evander, Makayla, Berry, Greyson, Ozzalynn, and Jedidiah; four great-grandchildren, Nylus, Lily, Madison, and Micah; four sisters, Debbie (Bill) Lee of Paducah, Renita  (Rickey) McIntyre of Ledbetter, Cheryl (Steve) Stogsdill of Ledbetter, and Patricia (Harold) Driskill of Ledbetter; and a brother, James Kelly (Lisa) Alexander of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dalton Norville; and his parents, James Lindsey and Lena Earlene Fagan Newcomb.
 
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Sister Judy Warren officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
