Richard Harris

Carl Richard Harris, affectionately known as Richard/”Rick” to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the age of 77 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born on May 3, 1948, in Paducah to the late T.A. Harris & Mildred Louise Wood Harris.  Richard's life was one marked by dedication, service, and the love he shared with those around him.

Richard's early life in Paducah laid a strong foundation for the values he would carry throughout his life. After graduating from high school, Richard answered the call of duty and served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged as a Sargent.  His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and camaraderie, which he carried into his civilian life. Richard was a member of the Free Spirit Biker Church.
 
Richard is survived by a brother, Leroy Harris of Buchanan, TN, along with several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Bruce Harris.
 
Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak with Rev. Dennis Lawrence officiating. Military Honors and Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Friends may call after 10:00 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak.
