Richard E. Fairhurst Jr. 78, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Richard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janice Roberts Fairhurst; sons, Brian Fairhurst (Janeen), Drew Fairhurst (Rebecca), Craig Fairhurst (Kathryn); daughters, Dara Houston (Derek), and Leann Fairhurst; grandchildren, Kamari Overton, Tobias Fairhurst, Nola Thompson, Wesley Houston, Conner Thompson, and Reid Fairhurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard E. Fairhurst Sr., and Rose McManus Fairhurst; a son, Keith Fairhurst; sisters, Janet Fairhurst and Martha Ellen Bugni.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 27, 2025, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
