Renda D. Lavin

Renda D. Lavin, aged 73, a devoted mother, grandmother, and follower of Christ, passed into eternal rest on September 15, 2024, in Mayfield, Kentucky. She was born in Smithville, Tennessee, on December 3, 1950, and lived a life marked by selflessness and unwavering support for her loved ones. Renda spent her career helping others, working diligently as a cashier for 8.5 years, and contributing her skills at Sangamo Electric in Springfield, Illinois.

Above all, Renda cherished time with her church community and her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she dedicated her boundless energy and love. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her support epitomized unconditional love. Renda’s deeply rooted Christian faith guided her every step, leaving a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be treasured by those who knew her. Her memory will be cherished as a testament to a life well-lived in the loving embrace of her Savior.
 
Renda is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John Joseph Lavin III of Mayfield, Kentucky; a daughter, Jennifer (Jackie) Morefield of Mayfield; a son, Nathan (Michelle) Lavin of Ballwin, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Jay (Lakyn) Oliver, Samantha Oliver, Rylee Lavin, Morgan Lavin, Emilee Lavin, Keith Morefield, Kinsley Morefield, Ethan West, Keely Jenkins, and Kenzie Jenkins; a great-grandchild, Hadley Sue Oliver; two sisters, Ruby Jones of McMinnville, Tennessee and Rose Duncan of Chatham, Illinois, four brothers, Ralph (Loretta) Pedigo of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Roy (Melba) Pedigo of Smithville, Tennessee, Richard Pedigo of Speegleville, Texas, and Rex Pedigo of McMinnville, Tennessee.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary Felts Pedigo; a sister, Ramona Pedigo; and two brothers, Ronnie Pedigo and Repsi Pedigo.
