Rev. Larry W. Logsdon

Rev. Larry W. Logsdon, 75 of Benton, KY passed away at 1:37 AM Saturday, October 1. 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Rev. Logsdon was a member & pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, where he had served as pastor for 37 years.  He also pastored Hopewell Baptist Church in Arlington, KY & Northside Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, TN.  He loved coaching basketball and served as head coach for Central Christian School, Lakeland Christian Academy, Victory Christian Academy & Grace Baptist School.

Rev. Logsdon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ryhuna Johnson Logsdon of Benton; four children, Theja (Dr. Craig) Bult of Louisville, KY, Rev. Jason L. (Michelle) Logsdon of Paducah, KY, Tabitha (Michael) Thomas of Benton, KY & Beth (Steven) Jetton of Benton, KY; nine grandchildren, Brittany Scheer, Jaret Logsdon, Austin Scheer, Molly Logsdon, Lakyn Dodge, Violet Thomas, Levi Jetton, Landon Jetton & Oliver Thomas; three siblings, Jackie Logsdon of Benton, KY, Betty Brown of College Station, TX & Tim Logsdon of Cairo, IL; several nieces & nephews and several great nieces & nephews.

Rev. Logsdon was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Wilford P. & Dora Brown Logsdon and a grandson, Deacon Thomas.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2022 at New Testament Baptist Church with Rev. Jason L. Logsdon, Rev. Jimmy Moize & Rev. Farrell Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Wickliffe, KY. Friends may call after 5:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2022 at New Testament Baptist Church. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
