Raymond Albert Obermark

Raymond Albert Obermark, 87, of Brookport, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
 
Raymond was born in Massac County, Illinois on October 18, 1934 to the late Richard and Lena Obermark.  He was the owner of Ray Obermark Appliance Repair and Heating & Air.  Ray enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking and was an avid reader.  He was an adventurous world traveler who took his family to many places around the world.  Raymond was a member of Southland Baptist Temple in Paducah where he loved to worship and serve the Lord.  He will be remembered as a loving husband and wonderful father who always had a sweet smile on his face.
 
He is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Obermark of Chattanooga, TN and Karen Gleue (Matthew) of Paducah; two sons, Steven Obermark and Richard Obermark (Jenny) both of Paducah; one brother, Wayne Obermark (Dian) of Metropolis, IL; niece, Cathy Cowsert (Glen) of Golconda, IL; nephew, Charles Obermark of Metropolis, IL; six grandchildren, Lauren Obermark-Shrader (Eric), Skyler Gleue, Preston Gleue, Spencer Gleue, Asher Gleue, Dustin Obermark (Cassandra); four great-grandchildren, Madilyn Shrader, Isabelle Shrader, Natalya Obermark, Nora Obermark; and one step great-granddaughter, Makayla Maiden.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Lou Dreyer Obermark; his father, Richard Albert Obermark and mother, Lena Alfreida Korte Obermark.
 
A funeral service for Raymond will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Jimmy Franks officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery in Metropolis.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
