Phyllis Ann (Dennis) Stephens, 88 of Paducah (formerly of Wickliffe) passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Providence Pointe in Paducah. She was born on April 3, 1936 in Wickliffe, KY to the late William C. (Bill) and Gladys Gentry Dennis.

Phyllis attended Wickliffe Elementary School and was in the 2nd graduating class of Ballard Memorial High School. She also attended Paducah Beauty School earning a cosmetology certificate and was a licensed cosmetologist. She has been a member of Heartland Church in Paducah since 1988.

After her late husband Lee’s retirement from the DuPont Co., they moved from Paducah to Rock Hill, SC to be a part of a Christian Ministry in Charlotte, NC before moving back to Paducah in 1988.  In 1994, after Lee’s final retirement, they moved to Hendersonville TN to work in Christian Ministry there before moving back to Paducah again in 1996.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Keith Stephens (Jan), of Grayson, GA, and Dennis Stephens (Tammy - deceased) of LaPlace, LA; three grandsons, Matthew Stephens and Adam Stephens of Louisiana and Luke Stephens of Georgia; 1 step-granddaughter Morgan (Michael) Thomas of Georgia; one step-great granddaughter Dani Thomas of Georgia; one great-grandson Ezra Stephens of Louisiana; her sister, Billie Nell (Tommy) Hammett of Wickliffe along with several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65+ years, Leland (Lee) Stephens; two sisters, Patsy Gail Marshall and her husband, Bill Marshall and Iris Elaine Ransom and her husband, Terry Ransom.

A private burial took place at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah, KY. There was no visitation.
