Philip Kenneth Ehrhardt, aged 94, of Clarksville, TN, formerly of Easton, Pennsylvania, and Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024. He was born in Easton, on Saturday, May 17, 1930, to Anthony and Sarah Ehrhardt. Philip led a life marked by dedication and service.
Philip proudly served his country as a First-Class Electronics Technician in the US Navy and was qualified in submarines, an achievement that spoke to his skill and tenacity. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career as an Engineer with Ingersoll Rand, where his contributions were both valuable and long-lasting.
An alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Philip's intellect and passion for his work were evident in the projects he undertook and the wisdom he imparted to his colleagues.
His commitment extended to his faith, as a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ and a devoted member of the United Church of Christ in Paducah, where he found community and solace.
Philip will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, innovative spirit, and the profound impact he had on those who knew him.
Mr. Ehrhardt is survived by his daughters, Terry Lynn Ehrhardt (Jana Wolf) of Clifton, Texas, and Patricia Karol Bedwell (Jim) of Lebanon, Tennessee; his son, Dr. Kenneth Charles Ehrhardt (Nancy Camajani) of Pilot, Virginia; his grandchildren, Mark Gerke, Calvin Gerke, Kelsey Bedwell, Michael Bedwell, Marissa Ehrhardt, and Anita Ehrhardt; his great-grandchild, Faith Gerke.
Mr. Ehrhardt was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Eileen D. Bill Ehrhardt; his parents, Anthony Valentine Ehrhardt and Sarah Elizabeth Pettit Ehrhardt; his sister, Lillian Ehrhardt; his brothers, Anthony Ehrhardt and Robert L. Ehrhardt.
A memorial funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. An Urn Burial will take place in the Spring of 2025.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the funeral home.
