Paul Gray Sexton

Paul Gray Sexton, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Paducah, Kentucky, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and passion. Born on October 18, 1938, in Metropolis, Illinois, Paul Gray proudly served his country as an Army veteran before embarking on a fulfilling career as a retired insurance agent with American General.

Paul's zest for life was evident in his diverse hobbies and interests. He was a gifted woodworker, creating beauty with his hands, and an enthusiastic guitarist, sharing melodies that resonated well beyond the strings. In his adventurous youth, while serving in the Army, Paul accomplished the remarkable feat of snow skiing over 1000 miles in the rugged terrains of Alaska, a testament to his endurance and love for nature.

He lived a rich and inspiring life and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Paul Gray's enduring spirit will continue to influence and motivate through memories cherished by friends and family alike.
 
Paul Gray is survived by three sons, Mark (Brigette) Sexton of Paducah, Todd Sexton of Paducah, and Chris Sexton of Paducah; nine grandchildren, Miranda, Kyle (Tiffany), Kelsie, Kayla, Shane, Aaliyah, Jorden, Stephanie, and Jeremiah; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Sexton; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Martha Sue Peck Sexton; a daughter, Paula Sexton; a grandson, David; four sisters, Louise, Betty Jean, Maxine, and Judy; two brothers, Raymond and Gaylon Sexton; and his parents, Raymond Hillary and Ruby Estelle Brewer Sexton.
 
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Chaplain Brent Easton officiating.
 
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
