Patsy Jo Arington

Patsy Jo Arington, age 75, of Blandville, Kentucky, passed away on February 27, 2023 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
 
Patsy was born in Cairo, Illinois on July 17, 1947 to the late Charles and Patricia Raines Arington.  She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church in La Center, Kentucky where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and served as a Eucharist Minister for over 20 years.  Patsy would often take communion to those who could not make it to mass at local nursing homes.  She loved to spend her free time reading western novels or watching her favorite westerns on television.  Patsy worked for many years as the Medical Records Director for St. Mary’s Hospital in Cairo, Illinois. 
 
Patsy is survived by her son, Christopher Eugene Burt of Texarkana, Texas; her niece, who Patsy treated as her own, Kathy (Heath) Caldwell of Metropolis, Illinois and their children, Joshua, Aaron and Westan Caldwell; a sister, Mary Lovelace of Wickliffe; six brothers, Glen (Janet) Arington of Blandville, Ron Arington of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph (Janie) Arington of Evansville, Indiana, Phil (Debbie) Arington of Wickliffe and Anthony Shane Arington of Blandville; five grandchildren, Sara Burt, Morgan Burt, Patricia Burt, Charlie Burt and Nathan Burt; and several nieces and nephews.  
 
She was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Arington; two brothers, Charles and Niles Arington; and her parents.
 
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in La Center with Father Emmanuel Udoh officiating.  Burial will follow in St Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the service time of 11:00 am at the Church.  Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe is in charge of arrangements.
