Patrick H. "Pat" Slankard, 84, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, May 2, 2025.

Pat was born on August 4, 1940, in Paducah, he was a devoted man who valued hard work, dedication, and the simple joys in life.

After 65 years of committed service as a pipefitter, Pat retired from Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 184, leaving behind not just a legacy of skill, but also a strong work ethic. He was member of Bethel Christian Church, where faith and community involvement remained cornerstones of his life.

Pat was passionate about the outdoors, cherishing every moment spent hunting, golfing, and fishing. Above all, the times he valued most were those surrounded by his grandchildren, imparting wisdom and creating joyful memories.

Pat is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Bynum Slankard; two daughters, Sherry Tilford and her husband, Daryl of West Paducah and Sandi Bryan and her husband, Steve, of Paducah; a son, Sam Slankard and his wife, Linda of West Paducah; seven grandchildren, Jodie Swain and her husband, Andrew, Clay Tilford and his wife, Mallory, Clint Tilford and his wife, Elizabeth, Vance Slankard and his wife, Alex, Kayla Gray and her husband, Jerry, Blake Bryan and his wife, Erika and Blake Record and his wife, Lakyn; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Pete Slankard and his wife, Leslie of Paducah; two sisters-in-law, Saundra Slankard of Hamilton, Ohio and Sharon Slankard of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Slankard and William “Bub” Slankard.  His parents were, Henry “Leon” and Pauline Hubbard Slankard.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Keith Tilford and Pastor Nate Hillebrand officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
