Nellie “Maw” Crawford

Nellie “Maw” Crawford, 79, of Bardwell, formerly of Melber, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah.
 
Nellie was born on October 28, 1942 in Wyatt, Missouri to the late William and Margaret Crawford.  She grew up in the country, working and helping her parents on the farm.  Nellie grew up to become a home maker and loving mother to six children: Wayne Edwards, Jerry Edwards, Margaret Lemus, Sue Cotton, Melissa Chaney and her baby, Wanda Marin.  To Know her was to love her.  Nellie always brought life to every party and light to every room.  She will be missed dearly by her family and all that crossed paths with her. 
 
“Maw” is survived three daughters, Sue, Melissa and Wanda of Bardwell, and one son, Jerry Edwards of Paducah.  She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, Ray and Michael Edwards, Justin and Cody Edwards, Leo, Daniel and Felipe Lemus, Amanda, Sam, Brittany and Justin Cotton, Kayla Ramage, Tyler Brown, Mariah Edwards, Jessica Brewer, Derek Edwards, Kristina Miller, Ricardo Marin and Savannah Lovelace.  “Maw” had 33 great-grandchildren that she loved deeply.
 
Nellie is preceded in death by eight siblings: Lacy, Buddy, Raymond, Jessie, Alvin, Macy, Leon and Pearlie along with her parents, William and Margaret Crawford.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Milner & Orr funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Shane Davenport officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the funeral home.
