Nancy Ray, age 73, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 5:14 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Mercy Health Lourdes. Nancy was born on October 9, 1951 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late John Abell and Mildred Crites Abell. Family moved to Union City, Tennessee, where Nancy graduated from Union City High School and was named Miss Union City in 1969. Nancy attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church and was retired partial owner of Park Avenue Dodge- Chrysler-Hyundai Car Dealership.
Nancy enjoyed playing golf, traveling and enjoyed most of caring and taking care of friends.
Survivors include one son, Vance Shore (fiance’ Kristina Ivey) of Paducah; one grandson, Gavin Shore; one sister, Barbara Baker and husband, Larry of Bartlett, Tennessee; three nieces and three nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, Robert Ray; parents, John Abell and Mildred Crites Abell. one sister, Bonnie Hurt
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Mike Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until service hour of 2:00 p.m.
