Nancy Louise Vaughan, 71 of Paducah peacefully passed away on June 12, 2024 at her residence. Nancy was born on August 5, 1952 in Paducah, KY to Barney and Louise Peck Purcell.
A proud graduate of St. Mary High School, Nancy's faith was nurtured at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where she was a member. Nancy's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the retired owner and operator of Purcell's Upholstery. Nancy was a lover of the outdoors, finding joy in lake activities that allowed her to bask in the beauty of nature. However, her greatest passion was her family. Nancy's world revolved around her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She poured her love into every moment spent with them, creating a legacy of cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Shane) Vaughan of Kona, HI; two sons, Tommy (Amy) Vaughan of Paducah and Joey (Andi) Vaughan of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, Paige, Brooke, Ashton, David, Jacob, Olivia, Cameron, Mackenzie and Thomas; one great-grandchild, Grayson; a sister, Peggy Trover; a brother, John (Wanda) Purcell; In-laws, Lynn (Dan) Brown, Rev. John R. Vaughan, Carol (Kenny) Shoulta, David (Tanna) Vaughan and Missy (Keith) Galloway along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, William J. “Billy” Vaughan; a sister, Judy Beard; two brothers, Larry Joe Purcell and Robert Lynn Purcell.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. John R. Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
