Nancy Elsey Vollmer, 91, of Paducah, Kentucky, formally of St. Louis, Missouri, Passed away at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital on January 28, 2025.
Mrs. Vollmer worked as a bookkeeper for many years for L&L Leasing and retired from Merecedes-Benz Motors in St. Louis, Missouri.
An avid traveler, Nancy found delight in exploring new places, embracing the cultures and experiences each destination had to offer. Her love for adventure was matched only by her fondness for the simple pleasures in life, such as supporting her favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kentucky Wildcats, and shopping on QVC for a great deal. She also loved spending time at the Lakes of Kentucky, where she engaged in numerous activities, and forged lasting friendships and memories. Most of all, Nancy adored the company of her friends and family.
Nancy is survived by her two sisters, Donna Elsey Leath, of Paducah, Kentucky and Jackie (Buddy) Hendrix, of Bardwell; one step-daughter, Darlene (Jerry) Warren, or Durham, North Carolina; four nieces, Robin (Michael) Leath Morrill, of Lexington, Kentucky, Kim (Vince) Hendrix Priddle, of Reidland, Kentucky, Tracy Hendrix Ellegood, of Bardwell, and Janet Hendrix Terry, of Cunningham; and several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert G. Vollmer; a brother-in-law, Robert J. Leath; and her parents, Irvan L. Elsey and Mayme Wright Elsey.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell, with Bro. Jason Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Elsey Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
