Monica Jay Galloway, 54, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on June 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at her home.

A true-blue fan of UK basketball, Monica's enthusiasm for the game was contagious. Her love for the University of Kentucky basketball was more than a pastime; it was a passion that ignited excitement during each basketball season. Aside from basketball, Monica found joy in the great outdoors. She loved the time spent camping and riding rangers through the paths of the Carlisle County Trails. But above all else, Monica's heart belonged to her family. Her grandchildren and children were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. To the very end, Monica lived her life true to her values, showing resilience and strength, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

Monica is survived by her husband of 29 years, David “Pup” Galloway, two sons, Matthew (Jessica) Galloway, of Bardwell, and Derrick (Blaine) Galloway of Bardwell; one daughter, Felicia (Russell) Usher, of Murray, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Bailey Morefield, Beau Maness, Anzley Galloway, Lindsey Galloway, Myla Galloway, and Laney Galloway, and one great-grandchild, Waylen Morefield.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Luvean Wilson.

A Graveside Service will be on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Burkley Cemetery, with Bro. Shane Davenport officiating. Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no public visitation.

Expressions of Sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to Mississippi Baptist Church- Vacation Bible School Fund, PO Box 277, Bardwell, Kentucky, 42023.
