Molly Keegan Hayden

Molly Keegan Hayden, age 86, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at The Lakes of Paducah.
 
Mrs. Hayden was born in Paducah on December 4, 1936 to the late Emmett Keegan and Elizabeth Hines Morris.  Molly was a graduate of Murray State University and earned a Master’s degree with 30 hours above in Elementary and Special Education and worked 27 years as a school teacher for the Paducah Board of Education.  She was named Duchess of Paducah for her tenure as a special education teacher and later joined the Paducah City Retired Teachers Association.  Molly was a long-time member of Grace Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School.  She was a creative artist and member of the Orchid Club.  She had fond childhood memories of growing up and learning from her grandfather, William Yancy Noble.  She loved painting, bird watching and was an avid gardener.
 
Molly is survived by one daughter, Lisa Emmons (Keith) of Paducah; one brother, Phillip Morris (Marsha) of Paris, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Sarah Emmons and Timothy Emmons; and one niece, Elizabeth Sicken (Rick) of Kevil.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hayden; parents, Elizabeth Hines Morris and Emmett Keegan; and her beloved son, Matthew Hayden.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Charles Uhlik officiating.  Entombment will follow at Brook Hill Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
