Michael Scott Fox, 73, passed away on February 17, 2024, in Paducah, Kentucky, after an illness.
Mike was born to the late Alma Lucille and Glenn Avery Fox on January 1, 1951 in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was a long time member of the Paducah community for almost 50 years.
A proud graduate of Fairmont State University in West Virginia, Mike furthered his education at West Virginia University, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Safety Engineering in 1976. Mike worked his entire career at the BF Goodrich plant in Calvert City, Kentucky. He retired in 2012.
In 1972, Mike married the love of his life, Cynthia Lee (Cousins), and together they built a family and a life filled with love. Mike was the devoted father to Michael Scott Fox, Jr. and Lindsay Faye (Fox) Clapp, and a proud grandfather to Hogan, Clara Faye, Nick, Will, and Abby. Mike loved working with his hands and channeled that passion into building, restoring, and racing cars. He passed his love of cars and racing onto his son who continues his passion.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mike’s legacy is carried on by his loving wife Cynthia; his children, Michael and Lindsay; his adored grandchildren; his brother; and his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws; and his many nieces and nephews.
