Mavis Jean Moss, of Kevil, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the age of 81.
She was born on January 10, 1944, to the late Lloyd and Mary Gamblin in Paducah. Mavis was a member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ and was a housewife. She enjoyed drawing, painting, crocheting, and all crafts. Mavis's curiosity and her love for nature extended to raising exotic birds.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Sue Lockhart, and her husband, Mike of Kevil, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Whitney Clemons, Dustin Moss, and Lindsey Moss, all of Kevil; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Thweatt of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Moss; a son, James Robert Moss; a granddaughter, Susan Renee’ Ott; and a brother, Eddie Gamblin. Her parents were, Lloyd and Mary Gamblin.
Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
