Mary Mocquot Egner

Mary Mocquot Egner, 74, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 4:44 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Mercy Health Lourdes with her daughter by her side. She was born on January 4, 1948 in Okinawa to the late Charles and Eileen Beck Mocquot. Mary was retired from Regions Bank and was a Manager at Banks Market. She attended Oaks Church of God and was a graduate of Draughon’s Business College.  Mary enjoyed family vacations to the beach and mountains as well as shopping trips out of town to spoil her granddaughter.  She was a wonderful cook, preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and summer cookouts for her family her whole life.  She also loved gifting wonderful baked treats to family and friends.  She will be remembered for her ever present smile and quick wit.  She was a wonderful friend, devoted mother and grandmother. 
 
Mary is survived by her daughter, Melissa Pace and husband, Chris, of Paducah, Kentucky; two brothers, Edward J. Mocquot and wife, Suzanne of Paducah, Kentucky and David G. Mocquot of West Paducah, Kentucky; granddaughter, Morgan Pace of Paducah, Kentucky; former husband and dear friend, Ray Egner of Paducah, Kentucky, several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
 
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Charlie” Mocquot and her parents.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
 
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
